Managing your account

Setting up your mobile bank app

  • Download the NOW Money app for your Apple or Android smartphone
  • Install the app and select the language you wish to use the app in
  • The app will now guide you through the registration
  • Enter your mobile phone number
  • Enter the One Time Passcode sent to your mobile phone to connect your phone and app for security
  • Take a photo of your Emirates ID front and back
  • Take a selfie video for ID verification
  • Your account will be confirmed within 24hrs

Updating your details

  • To change your mobile phone number go to Account > Update your mobile number > you will need take a photo of your Emirates ID for verification
  • To update your Emirates ID go to Account > Renew your Emirates ID

Sending money

  • The app has a remittance marketplace with very competitive exchange rates
  • You can send money quickly and securely to your family back home through bank transfer or cash pick-up
  • You can send money to 28 different countries
  • The money is usually deposited into the receiver’s bank account in 1-2 working days
  • You can also send money to India with UPI
  • You can track the status of your transfer by clicking the money transfer transaction on the app home screen
  • You can ask for a refund if the account details are added incorrectly or if the transaction is unsuccessful
  • It can take up to 10 workings days to receive a refund

Receiving money

  • Your employer has partnered with NOW Money and will pay your salary directly into your mobile bank account
  • You can use any credit or debit card to top up your account
  • You are not currently able to deposit a cheque into the account

Tracking your spend

  • In the app, you can see your current balance and check your transaction history instantly
  • You can also download an account statement. Go to Account > Download account statement > select date

Managing your card

  • Your employer or a NOW Money ambassador will get your VISA debit card to you
  • When you have set up the app, you will then activate your card. Go to Card Settings > activate card
  • To check your PIN go to Account > manage card > card pin
  • You can use your card in at the ATM, in the shops or online
  • If you have misplaced your card go to Account > manage card > lock card
  • If you find your card you can unlock it in the same way
  • To report your card lost or stolen, and to order a new card go to Account > manage card > report lost or stolen > order a new card
  • A new card will arrive within 2-4 working days, if it has not arrived call us

If your card isn’t working

  • There could be a number of reasons your card is not working
  • Check you have enough balance
  • Check that you haven’t accidentally locked your card
  • Check you have the right PIN
  • Your card may be damaged
  • If buying online, check the website accepts VISA debit cards and that you are purchasing a product permitted in the UAE
  • If you card is still not working please call us on 800 669 66639, 7 days a week 9am-9pm

Keeping your account safe

We have security features on the app to keep your account secure.

  • Any time you reinstall your app we will send a One Time Passcode to your mobile phone.

To help protect your account, you should:

  • Always keep your personal details and Emirates ID up to date
  • Password protect your phone and lock when not in use
  • Never share your account passwords, login details or One Time Passcodes
  • Delete your app and personal details before selling your phone
  • Call us if you lose your phone, or are worried about activity on your account on 800 669 66639, 7 days a week 9am-9pm

To keep your VISA card secure:

  • Sign your card as soon as you receive it
  • Never write down your PIN or share it with anyone
  • Never let your card out of your sight even in shops
  • Ensure that you get your own card back after every purchase

Remember

  • NOW Money will never contact you to ask for any account, card or personal details
  • We’ll never ask you to transfer money for security. If in doubt, call us.
